Student Scholarships & Grants
University of Otago Scholarships
The University of Otago offers general scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate students, including doctoral scholarships.
Industry Partner Support
Specific projects are often co-funded by our partners (e.g., NZFSSRC, major NZ food manufacturers), supporting students working on applied culture interventions. These are typically advertised as specific project vacancies.
Summer Studentships
We support students undertaking summer research projects over a 10-week period between early November and the end of February. Participating students receive a University of Otago Summer Research Scholarship valued at $7,000.
Exact project dates are set around the project and student availability.
